Window Tint vs. Window Film It’s the same thing,...different name.

Many manufacturers use the term window film only because they don't want to give the consumer the impression that you must completely darken your windows to reduce heat, glare and UV rays. Many people think of Window Tint as the "darkened effect you see on cars”.

All 3M™ Scotchtint™ Sun Control Films are made to be transparent and optically clear. The ultraviolet protection in the adhesive system is there to protect the adhesive, the metals, the polyester film, and the abrasion resistant coating from UV degradation. This UV protection will also help protect home and office furnishings.
